As a pioneer in the craft of restoring historic WACO aircraft, Rare Aircraft has a distinguished portfolio of award-winning WACO restoration projects.

Here are a few...

WACO Model UBF-2, NC-13027
1932

This restoration was commissioned with a minimum of existing parts hence much of the airframe was built new from patterns and Waco factory prints. It is, however, quite original in configuration and style, with the exception of the modern avionics.

The trim style is original...silver wings and horizontal tail surfaces, colored fuselage, gear, fin and rudder. The color patterns are original.

This airplane was completed in 1994, and has won major awards at Oshkosh, Sun'n' Fun, and the National Biplane Association event at Bartlesville, OK. It was displayed at Oshkosh 1999 and won the same award that it did in 1994. It is based in Wyoming, and flown regularly by its owner.
