Waco model QCF-2, NC-11424
1931

The 1931 QCF-2 is a nearly identical to the 1932 UBF-2, shown on another page. This is our most recent restoration, completed in March, 2001.

This aircraft underwent its conformity inspection by the FAA on March 20, 2001, and the Standard Airworthiness Certificate was issued at that time. It first flew on March 25. On April 1 it departed for delivery to its owners at Fort Pierce, FL flown by Roy Redman, president of Rare Aircraft Ltd. The 1365 mile flight took 12 hours of flight time, six fuel stops, with arrival on the second day. Hardly of note in 2001, but a monumental trip in the year of the aircraft's production...1931.
